This was my first shoot for the Parent & Child Intimacy series with Americans as well as my first African-American portrait shoot and the results are just amazing! This is Kaylor and her 3 year old adorable daughter Fortune. Fortune had her 4th birthday just a few weeks after this shoot. The mother contacted me with her own concept of curlers and make-up for this shoot and provided some very cute reference photos and we scheduled the shoot as soon as the pink robes arrived.
