Next to Mardi Gras, Halloween is the most exciting time of the year to be in New Orleans.  New Orleans folks love the Halloween parade, costume parties, cemeteries, voodoo shops, and especially the decorations in the French Quarter.

 

This article will give you a good idea of how you can decorate your balcony for Halloween and easy ways to make homemade Halloween decorations.  These are just like lawn decorations, but there are mainly wrought iron balconies and galleries in the French Quarter.  People make zombies, ghosts, witches, dis-membered dolls, spiders, skeletons, and a lot of other ghoulish characters.  Many people in the French Quarter of New Orleans go to great lengths to outdo their neighbors with their Halloween decorations!
