Pink Dolphin Watch

pink_dolphin_4313.jpg

Friday morning after breakfast we all set out to view the ever elusive Pink Dolphin. As with the last Whale Watch I went on, it was very difficult to capture them on a digital camera.

However, I got some great shots of some kids and their family that lived along the river. They also provided us with our dinner (catfish) for the night. Raul is pictured above below with the Walking Catfish.

There is also a picture of a barge loaded with felled trees. This is a very sad, but all too common of a site on the Amazon River. The trees are Ceiba Trees and are the largest ones found in the fragile rainforest. They are destined to become plywood.

Oh yeah, also you can see that I was the only one with enough balls to go swimming.
