Mad Dash Through Europe

Yeah, I was supposed to go up to Boston for the summer, but a few days before I left there was an airfare special on a trip to Amsterdam for an unbeatable price, and it seemed like a good opportunity to visit other parts of Europe. I went by myself, so that I could move around quickly. As opposed to my other three trips to Europe, I spend less time clubbing and more time backpacking around. I bought the Eurrail pass so that I could go anywhere I wanted at just about anytime.

May 3rd	Rode the tri-rail from Deerfield Beach to Miami Airport
May 4th	Arrived in Amsterdam. Checked into the youth hostel and visited the Hash Museum.
May 5th	Left Amsterdam for Berlin in the afternoon. Went out clubbing Saturday night. Visited the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate, and other spots. Second night I went to bed very early (3 p.m.) and slept until early the next morning. Caught up with some internet porjects such as making reservations for the next few days.
May 7th	Left for Prague in the evening and arrived late at night. Got lost trying to find the hostel and it was very late, but I found my way there and it was very nice. I stayed here for two nights as well.
May 9th	I actually missed the train yesterday to go to Nurnberg, so I left today. Arrived in Nurnberg and partied with Jessica and her friends.
May 10th	Left in the middle of the day to go to Zurich. Spent the evening wandering the main street and looked at Lake Zurich. No pics, sorry.
May 11th	Enjoyed a spectacular train ride across the Swiss Alps, it was incredible. Arrived in Rome in the evening.
May 12th	Saw the main attractions of Rome, The Forum, The Colliseum, and other ruins. Rented a bike in the evening when I started running out of time and saw the rest including The Vatican.
May13th	Went to Venice on a day trip.
May 13th	Took the overnight train (in a shared sleeper compartment) to Brussels.
May 14th	Went on a day trip to London, then spent the night in Brussels.
May 15th	Returned to Amsterdam and checked into a crappy youth hostel called The Flying Pig Palace or something like that. The batteries in my camera were dead, and everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they had lithium batteries. As a result there are no pics, but this would have been one of the best days to have one.
